If you are looking to hire a traditional island cottage, placed at a visually stunning and peaceful location on the Isle of Skye, then look no further.

Half-seventeen is one of the oldest houses in Aird which is a small, scattered community near Armadale on the Sleat peninsula. The three mile drive from the ferry terminal to the cottage is one of the most scenic on the island, with far reaching views which take in The Sound of Sleat, the Island of Eigg and the beautiful mountains on the Knoydart peninsula.

Wildlife abounds in the area....deer, otters and numerous species of birds, including golden eagles, are resident here and there is always a chance of spotting dolphins, whales or even a basking shark as Half Seventeen is set high up overlooking the sea.    And it's peaceful...soooo peaceful......

You can reach the sea-shore from the cottage, or if you prefer to really stretch your legs, there is a superb walk along a track to the Point of Sleat where views to the Cuillin mountains and the Isles of Eigg, Rum and Canna are magnificent on a clear day. From here also is a short walk to Camas Daraich, a white sandy beach. Details of these and other walks, plus information on other "things to do" is provided for your
convenience at the cottage.

The house sleeps four, having one double room and one twin, both upstairs. It is a non- smoking residence. For more details, please see our "About Half Seventeen" page.
